Are Okinawans much different looking than other Japanese?

Modern Okinawans look like just regular Japanese from Kyushu, Kansai or Kanto. Maybe their ancestors may have different features but today, you can't barely see it anymore. One obvious feature might be their darker skin tone because of the warm weather there, but there are also people here in the mainland with dark skin tones. Mostly men..
