Question:
My name is Ellie, and it sound like Eri in Japanese. I've tried to look at some website to find out the meaning, and it's suppose to mean something like being blessed.
I know Japanese surname are name after Nature. I want one that is 4 syllabus long and sound graceful. And please state the meaning of it thanks alot!
Answer:
Basically, Japanese do not think about combination between surname and given name.
In other words, you can put any surname for Eri.
There is no "suitability" there. You can choose from most common names like Sato, Suzuki, etc.
They say that there are more than 100,000 surnames in Japan.
>and it's suppose to mean something like being blessed.
Its meaning is not decided unless you write it in kanji. There are more than 1 ways to write "Eri". But you are not showing it.
