How will i be treated in Japan?

This summer i'm visiting my friend in Japan for 4 weeks. Im super excited to go because i always wanted to visit Japan and tour there. The other day i was reading online that "westerners" tend to stick out there. I'm Blonde haired, faired skinned and blue eyed. Will people there be mean to me and treat me badly because i look different? Im not saying that i think the people there are mean, but im a little nervous because its my first time leaving the country.

They won't be mean to you. Most people will probably ignore you. You have nothing to worry about. Most Japanese are nice people.
