Question:
My brother, who speaks fluent Japanese, is soon moving to Tokyo to work. Our mother is planning to move in with him there and enroll in language school while there. My brother will be providing for her.
My mother does not speak Japanese yet, but is planning to take Japanese lessons back home for the next half year or so, then come to Japan on a student visa to attend language school.
In other countries, I've heard of "language school", where international students come to that country and take a full time university-level course specifically for learning the local language at an academic level... for instance Chinese language school in China or English language school in America or the UK. So I'm guessing a similar type of institution should exist in Japan?
In Tokyo, what are some good full-time Japanese language schools for foreigners (university level), which offer a 1-year or 2-year diploma program? If you can include URLs of their websites in English or information about their program, catalogue, tuition fees etc, that would be helpful.
Thank you.
Answer:
