Suppose I checked in to http://www.hostels.com/hostels/tokyo/ann… (a random $35/night hostel in Tokyo). In a 3-bed mixed dorm, who would my roommates be likely to be?

Answer:
I agree. I stayed in a hostel for a month while I was waiting for my apartment to be ready when I spent a year in Nagoya. Most of the people were Western Tourists from Australia or Europe or NA. There were some Japanese too. I remember one guy was staying there because he got in a fight with his wife and she was mad at him so he was running away for a few days. XD
