How do Japanese people feel in general about Japanese porn?

Okay, my question is serious: what is the general attitude towards hentai porn in Japan? In where I live it's considered a bit geeky and weird. There are not many people who would be ready to admit that they watch hentai. How is it in Japan? Is it normal? Is it condemned by the society?

"Hentai" is used in a different way in English than in Japanese. We do not use it in a way you use.

So basically, there is nothing like "hentai porn" in Japan. It's what English speakers created.

You need to be specific what you are talking about if you want to ask all the same.

But no matter what it is, it's just a minority who watches that kind of specific porn.

That kind of manga is not common in Japan. It's not as big as you think it is. So the answer is, most people in Japan just don't care.
