What it takes to be an idol in japan?

im just wondering what it takes or what i will be needed to be an idol.....does your looks matter if you will go on audition or just talent......do you have to be japanese to be a idol in japan?.....do you have to be white as them or cute?.....what step would it be to become an IDOL?....:))) tnx for your answers

Yes, having white skin is good, since its considered pure and beautiful there.
Being cute is really important for being an idol in japan. And you probably need to be Japanese, or at least half Japanese.
