The LDP has folks the Taisei Yokusankai would have assassinated for being pinkos. If you are going to be fair to the LDP they are a big tent party. Yeah, there are some LDP members who are right-wing by any standards. However IMHO it is better that they be part of the system instead of being systematically marginalized.
