Will my debit card work in Japan?

I recently got a new debit mastercard, but it doesn't have a cirrus logo on the back like my old one did. Where the cirrus logo was now just has the mastercard logo. Will it still work in Japanese 7/11 atms?

Yes it will work but next time please ask your bank and not us as they are in a better position to advice you. Also inform them of your travels i.e. when you will be in and out so that they don't block your card if you decide to use it (thinking it is fraudulent). While you are at it, have a look at prepaid Visa, MasterCard's etc for use in Japan as they have cheaper rates than current debit and credit cards
