What does "soranbushi" mean?

Question:

I'm not really asking what it is. If you just say "a dance," that wouldn't be the answer I want. I want to know what the words "soran bushi" literally mean. Thanks!

Answer:

"soorann" describes rallying cry to work hard/cheerfully together
(possibly dialect of "sora sora!" "sore sore!")

"bushi" comes from "fushi" which means "a song/tune" (only used for folk songs)

*It's a fisherman's folk song from Hokkaido
