In jdramas (which im an avid fan), the boy always asked the girl (sometimes vice versa) her/his email address to get to know each other. I've always wonder if they (Japanese) have cellphone numbers or their email address serves like one? This question is from mild curiosity, don't mean to offend anyone. thanks in advance.

No, they have giant robots with separate radio waves receivers on the top of their heads. Then they turn microscopic and enter the the owner's brain. The owner can then talk to people with other giant robots! from inside their head!!
WTF do you think!? Japan is where mostly all technology is made. So of course they have cellphones!
