Question:

I know that for me I can read lips in english but I am learning Japanese and was wondering if they do.I know that there are many words where the tiny tsu extends things out so they have different meanings.Since that is the case can japanese people actually read lips and understand it.Plus I don't see many japanese open their lips so I don't think they can.
