Is this June/July a good time to travell to Hokkaido, Japan?

I'm considering travelling to Hokkaido, Japan in From the end of June to end of July. I'm wondering if this is a good time to travel there? And whether it was affect by the Tsunami or Power outages?

Answer:

Would be a good time to visit Hokkaido as you would beat the summer heat of the rest of the islands. Summer is usually a lot milder and cooler in Hokkaido.
