Japanese to English Technical Translation Help.?

Question:

For those in IT and know both Japanese and English. I recent got an assignment to translate some documents from Japanese to English.

For example:

問題管理における管理対像は、基本的にシステム運用サービスにおいて発生して事象…

My translation is "The objective of problem management is basically the dealing of occurrence of the system management services events."

Just want to get some idea and samples on the road. Thanks in advance.

As you present it here the Japanese seems to stop in mid-sentence... actually, in mid-phrase...so it's difficult to know just how it should be translated (e.g. 基本的に could be modifying something that comes later, it's not clear). I'm not sure how you even got a complete English sentence corresponding to the Japanese shown... there's no verb corresponding to the verb "dealing" here, for example. Anyway, it looks like something close to "The objective of problem management is ( text not supplied ) events that occur in the course of system administrative support." (I didn't translate 基本的に because it's unclear where it fits in in this snippet.)
