Gyakuni nande florida ni iru no?
I don't know what he's asking me in the first sentence, something about speaking Japanese? And I'm also confused as to if he's asking me if I live in Florida or where do I live in Florida. Also, how might I respond to these questions? Can someone clear this up for me? Thank you for your help! (:

The second sentence is
逆になんでフロリダにいるの？
On the contrary, why are you living in Florida?
