Can anyone help me and some friends think of things to help Japan?

i have a group of friends and we really want to help Japan out. we have looked on many sites to try to find out what we can do for these people. we would like to go and help out in Japan. we are giving money and a couple of my friends gave blood. (wish i could but i can't) i feel like we could be doing alot more. we are thinking of donation dinners, care packages, donating close, setting up other fund rasiors to raise money. any ideas would help if you have any please share we want to help the best we can!

i suppose they need fuel but how individuals can help get this through i don't know. and nuclear expertise. it is possible you could persuade logistics companies that deliver things all over the world to donate the gift of transportation for food and medical supplies? since they have the lorries to do so. i have no idea. i am making wild stabs in the dark. other than giving money to charities who do know how to help.
