Im trying to raise money for a missions trip to japan, is this idea illegal?

Question:

My idea is, we will make a group on facebook, and we will be asking people to send 5$ or more to help support our trip to japan (aka with our church group) so that we can minister and give them blankets,food,water ETC. But when they send 5$ or more, we send back a Support Japan braclet, and if you send more that 5$ we send extra item and etc.
Is this a good idea?
and is it illegal>..

Answer:

There are already enough groups in Japan providing blankets, food, water and other things the disaster victims need. One thing they don't need is missionaries going in there trying to proselytize them.
