Are japanese gay men the same as depicted in yaoi?

I know manga is nothing like real life, but I'm just curious. I'm thinking they aren't as girly as the super girly ones.... >_>

Answer:

Gay men has different looks and personality. There are the discreet ones, some are cross dressers, some are muscular, etc. So the gay men in manga is just a portrayal and does not represent the whole gay population.
