Question:
For those who maybe don't remember, Sadako is a girl from Japan and this story was set 8 years after the atomic bomb and Sadako had the Leukemia. She died in 1955 and she liked to make cranes. Her classmates, after she died, they made 1000 cranes to remember her.
Could you answer to these simple questions? :
How did Sadako keep herself occupied in the ospital?
Why do you think the author introduced Kenji into the story?
Of all the people who died as a result of the atom bomb, why do you think Sadako's death was given special significance?
Why do you think Mrs. Sasaki made Sadako a new kimono even though she was near the death?
Thanks!!! :)))))
Answer:
Sadako Sasaki. She tried to fold 1,000 paper cranes while she was in the hospital. It is said if you can fold 1,000 paper cranes a wish of yours will come true. But she was only able to fold about 650 before she died. Her classmates folded the rest for her.
Her mother didn't want to give up hope that her daughter would die. She was only 12 years old.
