Contrary to what Louis implies, people from different countries and different cultures look for different qualities in their potential mates. It's true, like someone else said, that Japanese men in general want to be dominant. Their culture is deeply rooted in male dominance and machismo. Just look at the Geisha culture in Japan. It's all about being submissive and quiet and being a servant to men(I'm sure I'll get some flack for that as many women strive for that profession, but it's true.) And just check out Japan's porn industry. It's known all over to be the most "perverted" in the world, i.e. *******. It's no coincidence that it's a Japanese word.

I'm not saying all Japanese men prefer to be dominant over their woman, but as a whole, they generally would like their woman to be submissive and cater to their needs. To be fair, many Japanese women like to be submissive and like dominant men.
