Which cities would you recommend me visiting when i go to Japan?

I plan on going to Japan (visiting) when im 18 or 19 in the summer. What are some cities that i should visit when i arrive there? Any other recommendations? Thanks

The must see cities in Japan are Tokyo and Kyoto. Attractions in Tokyo include the Asakusa district famous for Sensoji temple and Nakamise shopping street; Meiji Shrine; The Imperial Palace; Ginza and Harajuku.
