What is the best place for a family in japan?

Curious about the best place(s) in Japan for a small family. Including schools and low crime rate of coarse. I would prefer it be a suburb. But if you have some opinions or facts would be appreciated. Please answer.

In my opinion, if you prefer suburb, almost all places except downtown in tokyo are ok.

but before settling down, i suggest you ask house agency n see school n town with ur own eyes,
crime rate are generally low in every place of japan,
but still there are some particular areas where schools are not good or where lots of Japanese mafia (Yakuza )live.

also, generally speaking, school education level is better in city than in country.

Personally, i recommend Kyoto, because Kyoto is not too country n not too city, Kyoto has lots of temples, universities, shopping areas, parks, and also education level is good!
