Question:
I am "originally" scheduled to leave for Japan (Akita high school) for an exchange program but my school has "advised" me to reconsider my plan because of the risk in view of the nuclear threat. However, they did not pressure so much my other school mates who will be doing an exchange in Tokyo. I find this weird because as we all know, Tokyo is much nearer in Fukushima (206.4km) than is Fukushima to Akita (250-270km).
Can anyone perhaps explain?
Answer:
It's either because,
1, Akita is hit more badly by the earthquake than Tokyo.
2, Your school guys do not know the distance to Tokyo/Akita from Fukushima.
