Help, how do you say "where do you want to go?" in Japanese?

I'm not sure how to ask people what the want to do? like what are their wants and desires. i want to ask my friend "which university do you want to go to?" can you also help me with that? thank you.

Answer:

I would say:
"where do you want to go?" 　
→ どこか行きたいところある?（let people give more options than asking どこに行きたい？）
"which university do you want to go to?"
→ どの大学に行きたいと思っている？ hope/wish
→ どの大学めざしているの？ target
