World citizens!! the world economy is in recession, but i have a good plan?

Question:

the united states of america, their economy did revive by WW2

japan, the economy giant, could recover their economy by korean war

korea, well you guys wouldn know much about how did korea make their economy, but surprisingly korea did boom up their economy by Vietanam war as the 2 countries above.

all of those wars did make the countries who were in the long economic recession to recover from it and did bring the prosperity to the nations above.

now, what a coincidence, the world economy is meeting its long recession again, so what can we do?

i have a good idea

korea and japan should bring the war to each other, then the world economy would recover and boom up fastly again.

as we can see in the historical incidents, the war did bring the related countries to the war the prosperity and the huge ecnomic success, so i have no doubt that the korea-japan war would bring also the same results.

the reason why the two countries should bring the war each other?

first, japan is trying to take korean islands with no shame.

two, korea should recover their sea which name was 'The sea of Chosun' for more than hundreds of years.

Third, the japanese dont stop insulting on koreans.

Fourth, the japanese blame everything their bad luck or failure to koreans. In 1919 there was a huge earthquake in tokyo and japanese did kill koreans because they thought the earthquake was occured by badluck koreans.
in now days, they are protesting everyday that korean should get out of their territory because japanese recession of economy is all caused by korean.

Fifth, korea has lots of things to take revenge on japanee, during the 1592~1598 , there was a war between chosun-japan. Before the war there were more than 10million of people registered as the citizens of korea, but after the end of the war, the registration of korean people became shrink less than 5million people,,, was there any bigger genocide than japanese did in the world history??

sixth, japanese say koreans are copying their copyrights and products illegaly,,, lol, but the truth is that japan is the 2nd largest steeler of copyrights and technology of other countries after china. you guys should becareful of your own industries coz nobody knows when japanese would steel your valuable ideas with no allowance.
(for bonus, japanese has been copied chinese and korean culture for thousands of years. The first dynasty of japan did copy everything of china, they even copied the city excatly.also japanese did copied everything of korean dynasties such as pottery, drawings, and other valuable stuffs. the provement is that the registered japanese no.1 treasure is made from korea, lololol, who is the copycat:)

lastly, japanese cry everytime that it would be much better if there was no korea in this world(the same goes to koreans), they even dare to say with no shame that we shouldn allow koreans to independent from japan which was the biggest fault of japanese history,,,(wow,,,they don realize that korea did independent because japanese did lose from the war not they willed to let the koreans go out of their hands...)

so as you can see there are lots of reasons why korea and japan should bring the war to each other, and im sure that it will bring the recovery of the world economy as soon as possible as the war starts...

but! what would it bring the benefits to the two countries who are involoved in the war?

i have an idea,,, as you can see, the people each other are saying that the one should vanish from the world before the people became insane by the others.

SO THE WINNER TAKES ALL,,, the people, the properties, the history, the treausre, the language, the identity, the sea, the dokdo, the territory, the ninza, the pottery, blablablabla

and the united states of america refrees the war and judge the winner(to make sure the winner takes all)

i think it is a great idea, since nobody will be depressed by the war but everyone will be happy whether the results might be...the ecnomy revives, the enemy would be vanished, so everyone happy except the vanished one.

oh, i always hear that whites saying koreans and japanese look all the same,,and yeah i agree that statement since even i do confuse with japanese.. and i think there shouldn be many people in this small world who look alike each other since nobody wants it...

whats your opinion dear world citizens?? would it be positive if this carried out into the practice??

many thanks.

Answer:

In reality, most of Japanese citizens don't give a crap about Korea.
Yes we are aware that Korea is next to the Japanese Archipelago, but we rarely pay attention to it.

Rather we become more interested in China or other bigger Asian countries such as India, Indonesia and such.

Korea has recently raised world citizens awareness toward Korea using the Presidential Council on Nation Branding, Korea as a promotion tools for so-called K-POPS such as 少女時代, KARA and Korean-made drams, but it has not so influential in Japan than you dreams.

Japan has an overwhelmingly wide variety of amusement, entertainment, technologies, and such.
Korea has come up with Japan in some areas, but still Korea has no much with Japan in many ways, which could be one of the reasons why most Japanese people don't give a crap about Korea.

Visa inquiries of japan?

Why is Japan so conceited to call Dokdo theirs?

Question:

Japan distributed the textbooks that says that Dokdo is theirs. They also called the East Sea "sea of Japan", which is not true, but Google still post it as sea of japan.

Why do they think they can do whatever they want?

Answer:

lol,, i can help you guys a little bit dear japanese fellows

1)korea did spread the k-pop and did the propaganda of korea??

- only japanese people and some people who are jealous to the success of korea only say like that.no,nononononononono never never never korean government helped the success of k-pop group neverveernvervnervner as i said. i can say this swearing with my pe*nis, my father is working as a government official of repulic of korea and i can swear that we never helped the spread of k-pop nor we did the propaganda things with government, all the k-pop things were started by the native fans in their nations and by the singers themselves who work all night to meet their success,,,,,,,nevernever the government of the republic of korea did help the success of k-pop or k-drama

2)There isnt any provement dok-do was the korean one before the occupation of japan?

- lololololol, japanese should know that their government are the world most famous group of distorting their own history lololol why don you guys search the all the evidents suggested by korean side not just hearing the words of your own trustworthy governments??

at 6th century , shin-la occupied uleng-do(next to dok-do),and the fisher of uleng-do did go fish to dok-do from that time, this is the first appear of dok-do in korean history, and after the first appearance koreans did maintained the soverign of uleng-do and also dok-do which the people of uleng-do estimated that as their territory more than thousands of years

the evidence why koreans and japanese of old times thought dok-do as koreans??
i wonder whether if japanese have ever heard about person 'An-yong-bok' who is the official of cho-sun, there were so many pirates and illegal fisher who were coming this side of the sea and fishing near dokdo(which is the evidence showed by japanese side as their territory), 'an-yong-bok' this guy went to japanese government and got confirmation that 'uleng-do' and 'dok-do' belongs to korean side and we'll promise we do as best as we can do to stop the illegal fisihing near dok-do and near korean sea.

if you guys search about the person 'An-Yong-Bok' , everything would be clear, why don you guys search about him before blaming on koreans with the lack of knowledge??

3)if koreans appeal their opinion there would be anti-korea all over the world???

joking?? the unrational people who are claming other people's territory is japanese not korean, shall we claim okinawa as korean as you guys do??

do japanese know that they are fighting with every neighbors around them with the soverign of small islands??(russia, korea, china)

didn you guys ever doubt yourself who would be the unrational one by your brains??

anti-korea?? yes, it is famous in japan, few in china or few in other asia, but i bet my whole pe*nis again it wouldnt be much worse than the anti-japan^_^ im sure about it,,,since you guys invaded so many countries during last century and killded so many innocent people with no reasons^_^ shall we conduct a survey who would be the much worse image against the other in asia??

or r u guys saying anti-korea in the western society??america??europe??africa??....so… unfortunately korea isn a that poplular or well-known country to the western world unlike japan,,,but i still know a old british veteran who still hate japan because he still remembers how japanese did bad things to the british soldiers and prisoners.... and i know the people of dutch still know that japanese did bad things to them during the invasion at SEasia,,,,,with the whole evidence the anti-korea doesnt surpass the anti-japan,,,,since japan is the most famous country in the world unlike korea as you guys insist^^

Do japansese people hate anime and manga?

Question:

just curious because some people that I know here in the states say that japanese people actually hate anime and that it's not as popular as some would say, but then when I actually talk to some japanese people or some of my asian friends they love it and they say it's popular in Japan/asia. So do japanese people actually like it or hate it?

Answer:

It depends on each person. But I think few Japanese really hate anime. Those who are not interested in, just don't watch it.

What are some awesome things to do in Tokyo, Japan?

Question:

Me and a couple of friends are planning a trip to Japan to go to Tokyo. I have always wanted to go but i never did think about what we should do there. I know my friends arent into things like museums and stuff like that. I know they want to have nothing but fun....have a blast.....party. What should we do there? What restaurants should we visit? What are some sites we should see? Lol the only thing i know about Tokyo is that theres alot of lights and people...but i have no idea what we should do and i dont want our trip to be boring.

Answer:

Tokyo is the perfect destination for a kick of adrenalin and some fun and excitement. I recommend the following:

Akehabara for electronics, anime and high-tech gadgets

Shibuya for its famous intersection where the style tribes gather

Rappongi traditionally known for its nightclubs and bars

Rappongi Hills with the 52 storey Mori building and Tokyo City View a walkway that wraps around the building offering 360 degree views stretching as far as Mt Fuji

At night Tokyo really comes alive with tiny street stalls, bars complete with karaoke boxes, and the amazing pub food of yakitori and izakaya.

Sunshine City in Ikebukuro; It's a 60 story high building with a hotel, an aquarium, planetarium, restaurants, shops...etc. Go to the highest point at night, it's so beautiful. Trust me, sunshine city is awesome.

Tokyo Disneyland/ Disney sea; They're both next to each other. I've been to both and they're both real fun but I prefer disneyland though.

Shinjuku has lots of lights lol and people lol.. but there tons of fun places in there.

Shibuya has lots of light and stuff too Lol, and lots of young girls...if youre an interested guy..

The nightlife there is pretty awesome.

Anyways, have fun! Trust meh, it's epic.

Help with short Japanese presentation?

Question:

Hello, I need some help with my Japanese composition, designed for an oral presentation. Between a full course load and a job, I feel as if I am not grasping some of the grammatical uses properly, and would like some help to ensure that I do not create fault use habits. Here is a short composition, designed to highlight a little of what we learnt in chapter readings about Japanese religious practices, Help with correct verb forms, syntax, and 文法 would be very much appreciated.

仏教徒も神道信者も、困った時は神頼みです。
No correction here.

The nuclear explosion from Japan can affect all the Asia?

Question:

i mean the radioactive material from the aer will spread?

Answer:

If you are talking about Fukushima power plant,
There Was No "Nuclear Explosion."
The rooftop of the plant was blown off by hydrogen gas contained inside the plant (due to malfunction of its cooling system), but it was not a "nuclear explosion." You should know the fact that nuclear reactors inside the plant were not exploded.

To those who have read "Japanamerica"?

Question:

Or just to anyone who has knowledge of Japan-US relations,

I want to know what led to the "entrance" of popular Japanese culture in America. I know the answer is historical but can you explain it even briefly?

Answer:

Because people in America want something better. How can they make good stuff while eating terribly bad tasteless garbage? No they can't. The Elvis days are over. Noooobody thinks American culture is good anymore. And look at those ugly women in their showbiz. Holy sh*t.
I mean I am a man but I can't sleep with them because they are not attractive enough. Sorry but I would rather prefer Justin Bieber.

It just occurs to me that the tombstones of Micheal Jackson and Steve Jobs should read "the last good guy."

What is the most charming or beautiful Japanese accent?

What would I need to do to move to Japan?

Question:

I wanna know

How much it will cost to move me and maybe a bedroom size worth of stuff??
Where can I find a place to live??
Will I need more than a passport like documents and stuff??
What's the best part of Japan to live in??
Will it be easy to get a job of some sort??
Would an apartment or house be more sufficient??
How long should one wait to get everything need to move??

And any more info you can give me will be great!!

Thanx!!

Answer:

If you're American, you have virtually no hope of getting a job in Japan unless you provide proof of college education. The government offers teaching opportunities for those with a degree:
http://www.jetprogramme.org/

There are also many private schools which hire foreigners but the glory days and big money are gone. Still it's the best opportunity for work if you have no other saleable skills.

Leave your stuff at home, bring cash, and buy what you need as you need it. You'll probably have to have a job to get an apartment. Co-signers are customary in Japan, and as a foreigner with no Japanese relations that will probably mean your company must sign for you. Expect to live in a one room apartment as anything else in a major city would be prohibitively expensive.

As far as where to live, that just depends on your preferences, big city or small town, warm all year or four seasons, etc.

Learn a skill universally in demand for you go (cooking, hair styling, jewelry making, clothing design, etc.), and study Japanese as hard and fast as you can, you can make it in Japan and become in high demand as an exotic foreign expert in your field.

If you have a diploma from a public high school, it won't be a problem.

Translate this Japanese dialogue to English?

Question:

Its supposed to be a bickering between two J celebrities, but I can't figure out one part. x.x

A「あいさつはちゃんとしよう」
B「まるで俺らがしてないみたいな」
A「知ってる知ってる知ってる、挨拶はちゃんとしてこーね」
B「その言い方なら分かるけど・・・」
A「あ?」

I believe it translates like
"Greet correctly!"
"You make it seem like we don't."
"I know I know I know, [the part I don't understand, is he mocking something or what?]"
"I understand when you say it that way."
"What?"

So could someone explain that part to me, or if I made any translation mistakes do tell. -confused-

Answer:

You translated correctly.
This is a case of hard to explain nuance only natives can understand.
A is female, B is male.
A implies B does not greet right, too casual or not formal enough.
B complains, you sound like we don't.
A I know you do but let's do it right.
B Well, if you say it that way I understand but.........

There is no mocking, she just wants him to do it nicely and do it like he means it.
B doesn't like A lecturing him.

Working/volunteering in Japan?

Question:

Hi, does anyone have any knowledge of experience about working or volunteering in Japan? My hisband and I are between jobs, and would like to explore a new country. Ideally, we'd like to live in Japan for 2 to 6 months, starting in January 2012.

We're European nationals with good degrees. Although we don't have a teaching qualification, we have a lot of teaching experience, so working in a school would probably be the best option.

Thank you everyone for your help :)

Answer:

What's a European national ? Europe isn't a country...In most cases you can only stay 90 days as a visitor. Most ESL schools want a native English speaker and a one year contract. It takes time & money to sponsor a work visa. Finding work together won't be easy. Japan isn't an easy country to move to.
Want to work for room & board ? You can try the wwoofjapan route. This is where you work on an organic farm. I'd do it myself if I were younger.

In order to get a working visa, you'll need to have at least a university degree. 2-6 months a short time so I am not sure if anyone would be willing to hire you. Most contracts are for 1 year. Look at the following website for job listings.

Why japanese dosen have their own army?

Question:

are they too short to handle some guns??

Answer:

They do have a limited military. They had a few troops in Iraq.
Their military is very limited because of an agreement with the US signed at the end of WWII.
"Too short " ? They weren't too short in WWII. If Japan had been the size of the US, you'd be speaking Japanese right now.

Are there regional / local stereotypes in Japan?

Question:

I heard of Tokyo people are cold, while Osaka people are more warm. Other local stereotypes of Japanese people?

Answer:

Stereotypes exist in all nations and Japan is no exception. However, I have never heard of the one you stated. A couple I can think off -

1) Tokyo-ites being more in a rush and like their food heavily seasoned. But I found this to be true in any large Japanese cities. On the other hand, Kyoto-ites seem more leisurely and their cuisine have a lighter more subtle taste.

2) One classic stereotype the Japanese hold to is the idea of the Mikawa-bushi. Mikawa was the ancient province and birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu (the founder of the last and greatest dynasty of Shoguns). What many people think as the samurai bearing is actually the samurai bearing of the Mikawa samurai - a country samurai who is thought of as a straight arrow, forthright, loyal beyond question, but maybe a bit rough around the edges.

Lol, i think we really should see the end between us dear japanese^^?

Question:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20111119031510AA6qN7K

lol, another typical case of japanese who is ignorant enough not realizing how endangered they are^^

shall i tell you what japanese.

currently korean ground army is ranked at world 3~4th strength in the world

all of the korean men service their military at least 2 years in their lives

currently there are more than 700thousnds of soldiers who are stationd at the border of northkorea

currently there are more than 2million reserves who has been trained more than several years who are always ready to fight with north korea and getting trained annually.

considering the reserves korea has the 2nd most largest troops in the world which surpass china.(no.1 is north korea, 1million20 thousnads of soldiers currently stationed as active soldier, and all of the men trained as soldiers and regarded as the reseves.)

even considering within nuclears south korean overall military power is evaluated as world 7~8th in the world.(assessed by the us.uk)

but it doesn mean that korea can't make their own nuclears. why we couldn make them even we are the country who exports our technology of atomic energy and nuclear powers to other countries.(even north korea does have the tech of it.)

if we start to make nuclears right away, just within 6months, we can make hundreds , thousands of nuclears and place all of them at our east coast of sea which all of them would aim at japan^^
(it is not joking japanese^^ , if you cant believe it why don you guys search yourselves or ask your proffeser in tokyo university^^)

if we start to make the thousands of nuclears which we can afford it with no problem, our overall military strength becoms as world 3~4

but the only reason why we are not doing that is to prevent the world war 3, not beacuse we disable the ability to practice it.

korea is one of the few countries that they make their own guns, weapons, missiles whith their own hands

korea is one of the only 3 countries that they make their own 4th generation tanks with their own technology.(and we have lots of those tanks which are now aiming at north korea at the border)

and one thing more interesting is that

even we don start to make the heavy stock pile of nuclears, we already can eliminate japan without wasting our lives of soldiers.

because of those strange country which lies on the north border of south korea, our 40% of annual expenditure did have to spent on military for last 50 years.

so do you guys know whats the result??

all of the cities(even in seoul) in the north border of south korea became the room of long-range missiles which we are now having more than millions of it.(nobody knows the actual number of those missiles because it is secret)

they are now currently placed to prevent the attack from north korea, lol, but if you guys try to insult koreans every time without any slightest respect to the other countries,

i promise you, all of the millions of those long ranged missiles would aim at the cities of japan and destory at once which would be even more powerful than the several power of nuclears.

you guys should really careful with your mouth and with your behaviors.

if koreans ever hear once again the insults of you guys,

i promise you that the islands of japan would be devasted within 7 days. and south korea would ally with north korea(which share their basic principle towards japan with us^^) and more than 5 million of troops will land at japan at once and eliminate everything^^

lastly, please remember that if korea really tries to destroy japan with their every will, the united states of america which is lying at overseas would never interrupt in this war, which would spread to the world war 3 with high possibility.

if us interrupts as the ally of japan, north korea will interrupt, and the china will interrupt, and russia who is sharing the same sea with these countries would also interrupt in this war. and even considering without those other neighboring countries, i don think even us wouldn be able to handle easily with the 2.5million of well trained soldiers, millions of missiles, and thousands of nuclears which would be all ready before the war. no idi*t would risk their lives of soldiers and people which can be the biggest war the mankind ever had. i bet they would rather stay behind and sell their weapons to this place i guess^^.

just becareful with your mouth you japanese, just remeber that you guys already lost your chances of giving our mercy to your guys. koreans are usually generous towards foreigners but wathcing this kinds of rude behaviors constantly from your guys, you guys would find no generosity from us. if the war starts between the east sea of korea i promise that i would land at japan firstly and revenge as much as i want as you guys did to our ancestors^^

just try to be careful with your mouth japanese^^

this is my sincere advice

Omise girls in japan.are they like prostitute?

Question:

Answer:

Midori, you are wrong.

Pre-war time, Japan had Geisya system as you know. Top popular Geisyas were in position of similar to actress/singer/artist but the rest even had different names and were quite discriminated.

In modern days Geisya extinguished and was replaced by all different kind of escort clubs, where Omizu girls work at. Those bars and services claim that they do not encourage prostitution but I doubt it. They are banned by law having their employees participating in such business, so what the girls do (officially) is just to sit by men and serve drinks. It's hard to draw a line.

If you ask Japanese people whether Omizu is prostitution or not, you may get answers in variety. But of course they wouldn't write it as a career in resume! Does that tell you enough? Anyways prostitution never did and never will go away as long as there are human men and women.

And if you are one of ladies reading this, do not consider working this way in Japan especially if you are from one of the developing countries. You'll be treated awfully and breaking laws multiple ways.

So why Japanese girls do that still? Money obsession, non existent self esteem and idiocy.

In Japanese what does baka mean?

Question:

i think it means something they say when they're angry or upset...that's what i usually hear them say it

Answer:

It means "stupid."

It's not quite as harsh as in English though.

I've heard Japanese teachers call students "baka". I still thought it was going a bit overboard, but they didn't have the intent to be so condescending.

A lot of friends will jokingly use it with each other.

In ancient Japan, how can a girl become a miko or priestess?

Question:

Like how can they enter the Shinto temple to become priestess or miko as they are called in Japanese? Is there a certain age needed? Can a priestess marry? What do they do other than praying? Do they study some things? What are they called if they are not yet priestesses like are they called apprentice?

Please i need all the details i can get. Wikipedia doesn't have any.

Answer:

In ancient times, miko were more like oracles than priestesses. Not much is known about how they did things because the Japanese never had writing till it was imported from China in the 6th century.

In modern Japan:

- how can they enter the Shinto temple to become a priestess

The typical way is to graduate from a Shinto university. Priests and priestesses are often from a priestly family.

- how can they enter the Shinto temple to become a miko

Apply at the shrine. (Note that temples are Buddhist, not Shinto)

- Is there a certain age needed

Miko are not older than 25. No age restrictions on priests or priestesses but most are college graduates so that kind of puts a lower limit on the age.

- Can a priestess marry

Certainly. I don't know the statistics, but I'd guess 99% are married.

- What do they do other than praying

Miko do administrative functions and help with shrine events. Today the Miko's most important ritual function is the kagura dance. Priestesses do the higher level administrative functions (just like priests). A lot of what they do is determined by the size of the shrine. Some, like Ise Jingu or Fushimi Inari Taisha, have over a hundred priests and priestesses and are run like a company. Others just have a priest/priestess and their spouse (who is likely also a priest or priestess) and have part-time mikos when needed.

- What are they called if they are not yet priestesses like are they called apprentice

University students, usually. There are many grades of priests/priestesses. A person starts as a low-grade priest and works their way through the various levels. It's almost always based on seniority because Japanese culture is traditionally seniority based.
