How long does it take to learn Japanese?

Question:

I'm 13 and I started learning Japanese in February. I know hiragana, katakana, and some kanji. I know how to form simple sentences. How many years will it take?

****Bonus Questions: Do they have fruit loops in Japan. Y'know....the cereal?

What do shrine maidens do?

Answer:

I think 6 months are not enough. I recommend a year.
But if you wanted to speak fluently, it would take 3~5 years I guess.

Bonus Answers
About the cereal: No we don't.
About shrine maidens: Sitting, walking, dancing and sometimes smoking.
