If Senkaku island HAS TO belong either Taiwan or China, who will Japanese prefer it belongs to?

Answer:

I have no idea what the rationale that PRC. could insists it belongs to them.
As far as I've heard, PRC's story is that the island should belongs to Taiwan, and Taiwan is a part of PRC., therefore the island belongs to PRC.
I don't understand that theory.
