I bought two one is White which means purity? if I'm not mistaken and I have a gold one which resembles wealth and I would like to know do these really bring good luck?

There are two different kinds of Maneki Neko. One with its right hand raised (migi-maneki) and one with its left hand (hidari-maneki). Which one is yours?
Migi is for money. Hidari is for good relationships.
