What are good rebuttals against the cons of using the atom bombs against Japanese?

Answer:

Simple, they weren't necessary. The emperor had tried to surrender without " losing face ", but we wouldn't let him. We wanted it our way or not at all. The emperor knew the war was over. Japan was running low on supplies & money. The US has already destroyed half the country. Many people don't know we fire bombed 40 or 50 cities. Most of these cities had wood buildings, so they went up in smoke like dry weeds.
Not to mention we had two new toys we just couldn't wait to try out. The bad news is many thousands of people would die as a result of it.
Had nothing to do with Pearl Harbor. That was a provoked attack. Try going youtube and key in 'the bones of station H'...
