I plan on moving to Japan to teach English for 2 years once I graduate college, but I've heard they don't allow pets in most apartments over there. I've read, though, that this usually only applies to big pets like cats and dogs and that lots of people keep turtles and hamsters. So I was wondering if there's any way I'd be allowed to keep mice? And if so, is there any way to bring one from the US to Japan?

I don't think most would allow you to have mice as pets. So if you want to do it, do it clandestinely. But at your own risk.
