any arguments to try and stop them?

So you're not bothered about the other countries that hunt whales, just the Japanese. Why?
What about these countries:
Canada
Faroe Islands
Greenland
Iceland
Indonesia
Norway
Russia
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
United States
They all hunt whales too.
