I live in the U.S. I'm gonna be visiting my parents in Japan, but I'm little worried about Japanese rice at the moment.
Answer:
I have brought in California rice - 50lbs - no problem at all as long as its a personal gift. But there's no need to worry about Japanese rice.
The legal limit for personal use though is 100kg per year.
