Are the people in Tokyo Japan friendly?

I am in the Air Force and am thinking about submitting to go to Yokota AFB in japan, and was just wondering what people think of the area?

Answer:

They have been friendly to me. It is a very large city so there are lots of people and everyone is not alike.
However, on the whole they are friendly.
Being near a military base can always cause problems because often the civilians have had unpleasant experiences with some military members.
If you remember you are a guest in a foreign country and are polite you should be treated well.
