What is the best way to travel from Narita Airport to Nagoya downtown?

Question:

We have 2 adults and 2 toddlers? What would be the easiest, fastest and cheapest way to travel? Bus or Train? I am assuming on the train my 3 & 5 year old would not need to to buy a ticket. Thank you so much in advance!!

Answer:

Take JR NEX (Japan Rail company - Narita Express) to either Shinagawa or Tokyo station.
(Tokyo and Shinagawa are next station each other. No big difference, but Tokyo station is so big that it's bit trouble some to change over trains, with small kids.)

At Shinagawa or Tokyo Station, change to Tokaido Shinkansen Nozomi (Bullet Train) to Nagoya.
From Narita to Shinagawa, it would take about 1 hour. From Tokyo to Nagoya, 1.5 hours.
The price would be about 14,000 JP.Yen (170 US.D). per one adult.
You can purchase and reserve everything at JR Narita Station or ticket counter at the Airport.

Kids younger than 6 would not need tickets if only they don't reserve individual sheets. You can take non-reserved sheets, or keep holding your kids on your lap..... It must be painful for these long trip with your kids and all of your buggages..
If you think you'd need to reserve individual sheets for kids, you would need to purchase extra chickets for kids. It's about the price of 1/2 of adult tickets.

Another possible way it to take another flight from Narita to Nagoya Chubu International Airport.
It might be more convinient, but it costs higher than train and not that qick considering all these waiting time and city transportations. Plus, there are only 3 flights in one day.
