I'm a cosplayer and I don't think I should take cosplay just for the sake of it what are your thoughts?

Answer:
Take it if you want. The best time to wear it would be a weekend in Harajuku. I saw a whole bunch of cosplayers when I was there, and they didn't get mocked.
