Question:
My friend want's to visit me in Japan however, he overstayed his visa in 2004 and was deported and banned from visiting for 5 years.The ban has now expired but he his nervous about visiting because Japanese immigration are notoriously strict. I am just wondering if anyone has gone through a similiar experience and can give some advice?
Answer:
If 5 years have really passed, I think he can enter Japan. But I'm not 100% sure.
