Where can I get traditional japanese music like this which is perfect for relaxation?

Question:

Here are some perfect examples of traditional japanese music i like:

and this one

The thing that I love most about this music is that it will play something short. then pause for a little bit. then play again and the cycle repeats.

This is the perfect chill out music for everything. reading, sleeping, lounging, etc.

the only problem is, is that those links only provide 1-2 minutes of zen like pleasure.

where can I find something similar and longer?

and what type of music is this called anyways? i like the play and pause style of it. love it.

Answer:

I don't think the both tunes are categorized in a specific genre of music (in Japan). Let's say Japanese healing/relaxing music featuring Shakuhachi.

If you want this instrument exclusively, try "Shakuhachi Meditation Music";

"Shinobue" is another representative of Japanese flutes.

"Zen Garden (de-stress yourself) Relaxation Music" (Japanese flutes, koto, Japanese percussion)
