Traveling to Japan, what is the procedure?

Question:

I have a flight into Tokyo and a connection to Okinawa. The time between flights is about an hour and a half. Is that enough time for customs? Will I have any issues? What is the procedure? HELP! :(

Answer:

You will be directed by airline staff directly to your connecting area.
Then, you will go through Customs and Immigration in Naha.
1 1/2 hours would not be enough time to retrieve your baggage, clear Customs and re-check your bags.

If you fly international with JAL, they will automatically transfer your luggage to the domestic airline that serves Okinawa.
