Can someone please translate this into basic Japanese (best answer & five stars)?

Question:

Here's what I want to say in BASIC Japanese:

"During the Edo period art and culture also flourished. Colorful Ukiyo-e showed daily life in Edo. For example women in kimono or people enjoying sakura. A popular form of entertainment was kabuki. Kabuki actors were all men know as onnagata. They wore vibrant makeup and costumes. Kabuki plays are often romantic stories. "

No online translators please! I will give 5 stars to best answer, thanks so much! :)
