Are the Japanese mostly friendly towards American airmen? How are they treated?
Answer:
You're basically just another foreigner. Although you might run into a subset of the population around military bases that have a rather negative opinion of military personnel. Generally this is a result of said military personnel getting drunk and breaking the law.
