Question:
Most of the people I know in Japan say I'll be fine, but one British JET told me "there's not much more than fish on this god forsaken rock". I've learned Hiragana and Katakana and some basic Japanese in the last few weeks so I can ask if something is fish or not.
It's something I refuse to budge on. At the same time I don't want to spend over 2-3k yen on food a day.

There's a lot of noodle dishes there. As well as fast food places. They have McDonald's and KFC, as well as others. $20- $30 a day ? You'll be fine.
