Is it safe to go to Tokyo, Japan right now?

Question:

My family and I are planning to go to Tokyo, but we are a bit concerned about the radiation there. The radiation level may be fine, but I am especially afraid that it might have contaminated the water, food, etc.

Answer:

Tokyo has always been safe. As long as you stay out of the Fukushima area where the nuke plants are, you'll be fine. They're still working on the plants so the situation won't get worse.
The good news is Fukushima is some 200 mikes north east of Tokyo.
