A question for fluent Japanese speakers?

Question:

Is it true that you can only use ''Ja ne'' if you are going to see the person later that day, not tomorrow or the next day, and you cannot use ''Dewa matta ashita'' if you are going to see them some other time that is not specifically tomorrow?

Answer:

No. Ja ne is more casual and just means 'see you later', there is no specific time limit - although it's not often used if you are going to see them a short time later that day. Dewa mata is also conversational but a bit more formal, and means the same thing; but since ashita means tomorrow it means you will presumably see them the next day.
