What are some popular snacks from other countries?

Question:

So we're trying to put a Holiday gift basket for some of our friends this year and we wanted to put a little snack or food from different countries, a "tour of the world" so to speak. Some countries are pretty easy - France has cheese, wine, croissants and Orangina, UK has cadburry chocolates, Belgium has waffles, Switzerland - chocolate, Germany beer, and Turkey and China - tea.

Can you guys give us more ideas? How about Russia, or Mexico? Something Greek? Africa, Australia, Poland, Middle East? Ideas welcome!

Answer:

How about Japan?

Popular Japanese Snacks include:

Jyagariko - a seasoned potato stick made from non-fried potatoes.

Kinoko no Yama - a biscuit shaped like a mushroom with a chocolate top. It is very cute and tasty.
