Translate to Japanese? host family email?

Question:

It is to my former host family in japan. I wrote to them after the quake, and they replied. Now I need to write back.

It would be great if you could translate it. And if you have time, adjust it if it needs to be adjusted so it is more in tune to Japanese culture. Or if there is anything impolite about it, let me know.

Thank you for writing back. I am relieved to hear that you are safe from the tsunami and the Earthquake. I hope the water supply is doing better. I admire your optimism. The death toll is very saddening to hear. And the number of people missing still seems to be growing. If there is anything we can do to help from here, please let us know.
