When was Rice introduced in into Japan?

Question:


Some sources claim that it was as early as 400 B.C. while other claim that it was introduced as far back as 3000 B.C.
Help Please!

At present, the oldest remains of a rice paddy field in Japan as determined by carbon 14 measurement dates back to 2800 ro 3000 years.
