Why Hitler is killed for war crimes, and Japanese Emperor does not?

Question:

Answer:

Because the Occupation Forces (Allied Powers) in Japan decided not to kill him for the successful operation of their occupation of Japan after WWII.
They knew if they killed the Emperor, the Japanese would deadly refuse to be under the control of GHQ headed by US Army Gen. D. MacArthur.
The fact is that Allied Powers occupation policy of Japan had been decided long before the war was over, believe or not.
