Japanese people - who are kappa in Japanese folklore?

Question:

What is their attitude to humans? Are they dangerous? Intelligent? Have you ever seen one?

Answer:

Indifference, they would see you the same way you see fish. Men are viewed as inferior creatures, a higher form of monkey. Playful creatures, but polite. They don't seem to realize that people can't breathe underwater so they get a bit rough sometimes. They can speak and have a highly organized social structure and an obsession with being polite. Their attitude is it's OK to rape, kidnap and so forth as long as they aren't caught. If treated with respect they will return the favor. They breathe water but don't require breath anywhere nearly as often as land creatures. Like all reptilians, they are very lawful and rational and hold true to their promises.

Of course, there are no reptilian people. Right?
