Could 2 halfies have a baby with blonde hair and/or blue eyes?

Question:

halfies~ half japanese half white

Obviously the 2 people would have dark hair and dark eyes. but if both of their white parents were blone haired blue eyed could the baby the halfies had possibly come out blone and blue eyed or is the japanese characterisits too strong

Answer:

Your statements are a little confusing.

If you mean that both mother and father of the child had direct relatives who had blonde hair and blue eyes, then there is a slight chance the child may have blonde hair and/or blue eyes. But in the majority of the case, the child will have dark hair and brown eyes.

The gene that determines blonde hair and blue eye color are call recessive. And the ones for dark hair and brown eyes are call dominant. A child inherits one pair of genes from each parent. If the child gets 2 recessive, then that trait will appear. If the child gets ANY dominant trait in the pair, then the dominant trait appears - that's why it is call "dominant".

The chance is there. but very small.
