What is a good Zoo in Tokyo Area????

I LOVE zoo's, especially the monkeys/gorillas.

So please tell me of a zoo you know of/or have been to, I know there are a few but I would love to know what's best.

Definitely, the Tama Zoo (west suburb of Tokyo) is the best.
But it is a huge park with many ups and downs (not so steep, though). You need to walk around a few hours to see all the animals in the park.
It's easy to get there. Take the Keio Line from Shinjuku to Takahata Fudo station (less than 30 minutes by express train), and transfer to a mono rail to Tama Zoo (takes less than 10 minutes).
